Been to the old hotel many times. Linda, I'm not convinced there are ghosts and am too old to change so that's out for me. LOL

Thanks for the postings about "haunted" hotel in Eureka Springs! I have also never seen a ghost, but in all honesty, I would like to. There is an old antebellum home near my town that is supposedly haunted by a little girl. My daughter did a school paper on the home once and the lady who owned it took her into the bedroom of the little girl..Lisa swore she heard the faint voice of a little girl and saw an indention appear on the bed as though someone had laid down.

Near Eureka Springs, we found a little city park in Berryville. Great rates, just a few miles from Eureka Springs.

We like Sam A Baker State Park in Patterson MO. No cell service so plan accordingly. They do have wi-fi at the office and a pay phone. I bought a Wilson Sleek which worked OK for my cell and my Verizon Jetpack.

For a while it was a cancer hospital.. Crescent Hotel is the one your looking for. It was on Discovery's Ghost stories and it is haunted. Or least alot of activity they couldn't explain.

I was there about three years ago and toured it. I believe it originally used to be some sort of hospital. They claim it’s haunted; I don’t put much stock in that sort of thing. We’ve only been to a few Arkansas state parks but they are some of the best in the nation. We stayed last year at Petit Jean State Park on Petit Jean Mountain. At the west end of the park has a view over the area that would be great in the fall.

Just about anywhere in Arkansas is going to be nice around th end of October. We always spend the last week in Lake Catherine State Parl. Any of the parks around Hot Springs make a good base camp and there are several state parks close enough to make for nice day trip.
Mt Magazine is the highest point in Arkansas and the color change on the way there is spectacular. You just can't go wrong with any Arkansas State Park.
