We live in Dallas, TX and last year did the Disney/Orlando trip stopping in Destin, FL for a few days to break it up. We had a blast and want to do another trip this summer. What have been some of your most memorable and favorite locations here in the US? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Ft. Robinson State Park in the far NW corner of the NE panhandle is a pretty interesting place in itself, with museums and a pool and horseback riding, etc.The American Indians have a gathering there every year in June.It's called the Inter-tribal Gathering and is scheduled for June 6 through 8.If you decide this is worth it, you should make reservations because the full hookup RV campground isn't real big.

Being seniors you might be interested in Colonial Williamsburg, VA area with a side trip to Monticello,VA home of Thomas Jefferson. Another time when you have more time make it all the way to Boston and the New England area.You can search this Forum for the destinations of interest since someone's already been there.

Yellowstone is a great time for the kids, and adults.

I highly suggest staying in the park, more opportunities to see things and less driving overall. Canyon is our favorite CG, with Madison being our 2nd.
