The Castaway Caboose leaves from the Durbin Depot. The East Fork Campground and Stables is right beside the Train Depot. It is a very nice private campground. There are several other scenic trains in the same area. One is the Cass Scenic Railroad, the others leave out of the town of Elkins. They are the Cheat Mountain Salamander and the Tygart Flyer. It is a great area for train buffs. The National Radio Astronomy Observatory is also close by, it is the reason for the quiet zone. No cell phone service for 30 square miles. If you have a chance give the place a visit.
