"Sums up the real story"? I don't think so...but it does look as if Misseri's finally put out a press release. And a bad one- since when is Christmas Eve "22 hours" after Dec. 22nd???
There's a lot more to come out yet, beginning with the true extent of Robert Misseri's orchestration of this drama, up to and including where the dogs spent those nights on the road....
Stay tuned!
Truthfully i don't think any of us will ever know the real story. We will hear what they want us to hear. - Francesca_KnowlExplorer"Sums up the real story"? Thanks for that link. Sums up the real story.
IMHO, and as this link states, that people wanting to help make sure they donate to Guardians of Rescue to help these dogs and NOT the 'in-need of money to prevent eviction' org Ruff where they are located. - dspencerExplorerThis updated story just made our local news here in Kansas City tonight,

Spent quite some time looking into this over the last couple of days while following/participating in a conversation at a KOMO channel 4 News page.
Figured out the location yesterday, clued in by an immediately removed post at the "Guardians of Rescue" Facebook page...Golden Valley, Arizona location confirmed there just this morning.
Other facts coming to light:
Our Hero"Guardian of Rescue" Robert Misseri is launching a brand spankin' new "Animal Rescue" TV show...scheduled to debut on the Oprah network on January 17th! Read all about it at this link
It'll be interesting to see what THIS well-orchestrated story looks like when it's finally in the can...
On the bright side, the RUFFF shelter that's now "hosting" the dogs was about to go under, at least according to what they have posted at their website
Here's hoping that Misseri expresses his appreciation for their part in this drama in the only way that counts: By passing them a little piece of the action!;)
:S:S
Per the Ruff website posted BY the owner they have been under investigation, served with fines, etc. etc. if they don't comply by the local county. The county has been trying to shut them down for the past 2 years...........AND THIS is where all these dogs are going???
...""According to a Nov. 2012 publication of Havasu News, the county was attempting to close RUFFF down and at the time, they proposed a requirement that Hillarie Allison, the owner of the organization, not be allowed to acquire anymore animals.""..
Is THIS link pertaining to these dogs??
https://ixquick-proxy.com/do/spg/highlight.pl?l=english&c=hf&cat=web&q=Hillarie+Allison&rl=NONE&rid=ODLNSSNOMPQQ&hlq=https://startpage.com/do/metasearch.pl&mtcat=web&mtlanguage=english&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.examiner.com%2Farticle%2Fguardians-of-rescue-releases-name-and-location-of-olympic-animal-sanctuary-dogs
If it is 'someone' needs to stop this insanity. This place is 'licensed' which means FOR PROFIT. It is not clear if the donations sent out for these dogs went directly into her pocket to avoid closure. They needed around $15,000 to comply with the county to stay open.
""We received papers on November 27th demanding this money by December 2nd or the property will be put up for Trustee sale!""
It is unclear of current donations for the OAS dogs have paid off the amount owing on the RUFFF acreage.
AND........the owner Hillarie Allison of this almost closed shelter's last quote should make everyone concerned. :(
""The dogs will be available as early as Tuesday for adoption"".
Adoption my butt, should have read for profit. :R - Francesca_KnowlExplorerSpent quite some time looking into this over the last couple of days while following/participating in a conversation at a KOMO channel 4 News page.

Don't be too hard on Forks' Mayor, Rock- ya know what I think?
I think this whole Midnight Flight thing was totally set up by Robert Misseri and his very highpowered Publicity Team. Which team includes an extremely powerful attorney well known for providing legal advice/assistance where needed. Seems to me to be most likely that local officials like the Mayor were either kept in the dark or just completely bowled over by the Juggernaut.
Misseri's team does NOTHING unless there's a lot of press involved, or going to be involved when the moment's right. Check his background out...if I'm lyin', I'm dyin'!
Yes, you are probably right.:(
I also see a lot of wild raids on shelters that did not deserve it. Not many considering all the ones that ARE necessary but enough to see chaos where it truly did not need or should have happened. I suspect that transportation ride was more horrific then where they were taken from.
The emphasis on "undisclosed" destination that took "hours" to get too concerns me and I only hope the town that they are dumped on has the where with all/legal help to refuse them.
Again as I have often stated local county and city donations and tax dollars the public pays for strays in THEIR town should NEVER include illegal interstate transportation of strays from shelters from another state period. This is also how serious different strains of viruses are spread into shelters across the US that kill hundreds of dogs. :(
Keep us updated on what you find out. - Code2HighExplorerThe government of Forks is at fault for not taking action months ago, regardless of what GOR did or did not do, if LE had been allowed to do their jobs, the transport would never have happened. The dogs could have been rescued and placed elsewhere from Forks... the only reason they weren't was because no one could get to them.

We're in AZ working, but the only info I'm getting is through this thread.
Pops
Wow- the Guardians of Rescuereally IS flying under the radar
...when do you think they might break the news to the actual folks that live wherever they've set up that they're there???
Sorta fries me that this New York based group has imported a bunch of folks from California and set up camp somewhere in between without so much as a by-your-leave from the locals. All for the purpose of dispersing a bunch of dogs from Forks, Washington...which town was 100% in support of their presence right up until they vanished in the middle of the night!
Quite a public relations stunt- and remarkably effective, if activity on the GOR Facebook and fundraising pages are any indication. ;)
O.K., Pops- yer on the scene with yer pups, and I'm thinkin' their sniffers can sniff out the location of their new neighbors!
Our only clue so far is that the GOR Facebook page sez that they're buying stuff from Lowes. Now, the only Lowes I see along the Arizona/Nevada border are all in the Las Vegas area- nothin' on the Arizona side. I'm betting that those dogs are inside Lowe's typical 25 mile delivery radius of one of those stores....which side of the State line unknown.
Let us know if Team Pops comes up with anything...:@
They are flying under the radar because it is ILLEGAL to transport multiple dogs from shelter to shelter interstate without a dept of ag License and following the LAWS regarding the SAFE interstate transportation of animals.
One call to the Dept of Ag at the onset of this would have put an immediate stop to this. And the phone call should still be made to them. There certainly is enough social media info they themselves posted to convict them.FORKS — Steve Markwell and 124 dogs from the Olympic Animal Sanctuary will not arrive at their undisclosed destination until early Tuesday because of slow progress in what is a very long drive, said Robert Misseri, president of the Smithtown, N.Y.-based Guardians of Rescue animal shelter.
Markwell departed Forks early Saturday morningin a truck with a 53-foot trailer loaded with dogs
from the pink warehouse at 1021 Russell Road in Forks.
Misseri said Markwell told him the truck’s progress has been slowed becauseMarkwell is the only driver
and has been stopping to feed and water the dogs, and to take the dogs out of the trailer for breaks.
It is noted that the Mayor of the town where these dogs originated is well aware of this and condoned it. Apparently he doesn't have a clue about the law.:R HE should be put in jail for allowing such an illegal act. Just unbelievable this was allowed to happen. :(
