The poor bunny. I would never but NEVER trust that dog around smaller animals again. Once they kill, once that barrier is broken, they most likely will kill again. If you have other small pets in the home I would find a new home for them, or rehome the dog.
We also lost a beloved rabbit to our German Shepherd many years ago when my son was small. The bunny's name was BunyaBunya. A sweet and friendly bunny. We were devastated. Because of the other small pets in our home, we gave the dog away.
