Koda also woo woos when he is in the kitchen and wants a treat. That's a Samoyed (Nordic breed) thing but I do keep wondering if the GSD will ever pick up on it :D

Ike (my late Aussie) grew up with Rocky the Malamute next door - and Ike's vocabulary was decidedly more "sled dog" than "herding dog". Ike seldom barked - but he DID say woo-woo when excited; and when he wanted something, he'd say "wah". I'd ask him what he "wah-nted" and he'd lead me to whatever needed to be delivered.
However, Ike couldn't match Rocky's ability to say "I love you" (came out more like "Wy wuv woo") - but Rocky would say it like he understood the meaning. He'd say it to me when I'd walk past his house....and without thinking, I'd say out loud "I love you too, Rocky" LOL!
