Tomorrow is the final day of the antibiotic's. She has bounced back to her normal self and the puncture wound is healing nicely. I have not given her any pain med's for a couple days now.
There still seems to be some bruising a week later and a lump below the puncture wound that the vet mentioned is likely pooled blood that will take some time to absorb back into the body.
An ultrasound showed no further damage and I have chosen to not do X-rays or exploratory surgery on a dog that's recovering.
Interesting how one VET during our followup check strongly recommended doing the whole nine yards and yet the VET in the weekend emerg clinic while suggesting the same actions did not push them without/unless there was additional signs of problems with Bella such as eating, drinking, pee-ing and poop'ing which there never was.
