Bad Weekend Camping.
Our Standard Poo Bella darted away from me Saturday afternoon for all of 10 sec's and got tangled up in the leash of the next door campers Huskie. She suffered one puncture wound just ahead of the right rear hip in the loose fleshy skin.
Within 18 hours an infection had set in and now she is on strong antibiotics and strong painkillers.
I'm now carrying a 45lb dog up and down the stairs. She normally has a vertical jump of about 48 inches.
The bruising and pain in her core body muscles is really bad.
At least the swelling has not got any greater overnight in her right hip and leg and she is trying to walk a little bit more this morning.
I could not believe the fever she had Sunday into early Monday before it finally broke late Monday morning.
