re: dogs not eating when they're on oral meds. Especially that awful pink liquid, amoxicillin or whatever it is. Years ago, vets would give an antibiotic shot, which was so much easier. The dog would not connect medicine with an upset stomach. A few years ago, Rosie had a vet emergency on the road (tore a toenail out of her foot) and the small town vet gave her a "ten day antibiotic shot." Yay! No risking the dog puking up pink stuff in a moving RV. Maybe Dr Doug can tell us why those shots do not seem to be as available these days. I understand the desired reduction in needles, but sometimes when stomach upset is involved, it sure would be easier.
