Dry food storage underneath
As we complete our transition from 5th Wheel to MotorCoach a question has come up in our home. In the 5er we could easily store 4-6 weeks of dry goods INSIDE the rig, due in no small part to the enormous room inside our old Cedar Creek.
Now as we contemplate longer trips in our Motorcoach it has occurred to me to use either plastic or cardboard boxes to store excess dry goods (rice, canned goods, sealed shelf stable items) during the trip and bring them up as needed.
Question for the board:
On long trips (1+ month trips), how many of you buy food cheaply at one location and store it underneath in your compartments? What kind of containers do you use? Should I worry about excess heat?
Thanks,
GreenSalsa
