I also agree with DR Doug. I also have people all the time want grain free gluten free food for a dog. When I ask why they want grain free they tell me their dog does not eat grain in the wild so they want all meat.
Wild dogs eat lots of grain (and vegetables) in the wild- it's just second hand, so to speak. One of the first parts of any prey consumed is the stomach and all its contents. Most of that prey is itself herbivorous, which term includes many kinds of grain and seeds. It all goes down the wild dog's gullet, much of it undigested by the original "consumer".
It's thought by wildlife biologists that this "vegetarian" element of their diets is very important to the wellbeing of wild dogs.
