From what I've read, many dog food companies switch their manufacturers on a regular basis, especially places like Sam's and Costco. We've been using Blue Basics for Jesse for a while now with absolutely no issues. And this is a dog that's allergic to chicken. I suspect that if there were chicken in the Salmon and Sweet potato formula he would react. Since he doesn't break out over the winter, we are certain his issues are contact allergens and not food allergens. The "old school" vet I took him to has no issue with dogs eating grains and does not believe there is conclusive proof that this causes issues.
