I think you are better off going to a boutique pet store that focuses on food than you are asking your vet. I have never had a vet recommend anything other than something like Science Diet - and all of those large name brand foods have had recalls, and are usually made somewhere over sees.
Look at it this way. If a person has dietery issues, they go to a Registered Dietician, not an MD. I believe the same applies here.
In regard to the ones you mention, we fed Taste of the Wild up until they were sold to Diamond. We now feed Evangers, and are happy with it. Someone mentioned Fromm's. I would go that over the other two mentioned.
