Breed Discrimination?
Who has run into it, where and what breeds? Looking for a new buddyI like the German Shepherd but have to look at a mix with "they say" lab and american bull dog. More turmoil.

The problem with the "aggressive" breeds is people do not properly train or work their dogs. We are on our third Lab/Lab mix and IMHO it is one of the most docile and friendly of dog breeds. Having said that our current dog as a pup snapped at DW and myself when we got down near him while he was chewing a bone. With proper training that problem was nipped in the bud and now he is just great even with the grand kids. Any dog can be trained, but you will never get past the bad rap poor owners have left on the public. Also remember German Shepard's are very head strong and really need a dominant owner to keep them under control. Unless you have the time and patience to successfully train one of the large dominant breeds you would be far better off with a more people friendly breed.
