Do many campgrounds discriminate against TC's...?

I did remove my camper too at many places. I am not the type whow ask to many questions. Many times, the desk clerk is not the owner and if you ask a question he will play it safe for him and says, humm, not sure, maybe you should not, or some like that.

Ok, thanks, is there any sort of guide out there that list which CG's have specific rules against this?

I plan on doing yellowstone and a couple other NP's next summer and had planned on removing it from the truck during the day to explore, probably could put it back on the truck at night, this will be a major drag if i have to drive around with it still on all the time

To my knowledge you can remove the TC in pretty much any national or state park, usfs CG etc. I've never asked but I have done it many times with our old S&s.

Exactly - we have no desire to camp where we are not wanted. Nor would I want any private business forced to change their rules on who they must serve. And we can always vote with our feet (ok, tires) and $$. And we always make it a habit to thank business owners that provide great service.

Private campground owners can make and enforce any rules they wish. We, as truck campers, can opt to either stay or not at a particular campground.
If the rule is that no truck campers are allowed then we have no choice to make but to move on.

yep, the campground owner should rebuild his/her campground so that all of the spots are exactly the same length. then what are you going to do, whine that his spot has more trees than mine.

the campground owner wants to best serve all of the campers. I suppose in your proposed first come take any site, that they should put a tent in a 50 foot space, don't take NEED into account, fill up all of the long spaces with 17 ft TTs, etc.
then we would have people here whining that, "I got to the campground and all of the long slots were filled with tents and TCs and I had no decent place to put my 33 ft motorhome".

Actually many RV parks do charge for size and power needs. My wife and I full-timed on a 40 foot diesel pusher for about 10 years. With the toad we needed a spot about 60 feet long and usually desired 50 amp power. We often paid more for 50 than 30 amp and several parks designated their longer sites as premium. . .meaning a higher charge.

But we bought the TC so we don't have to stay in RV parks, though I know occasionally we will.
