Buddy needs your prayer and support update- RIP Buddy

I've been away from this forum for quite a while. Our trailer has sat unused for quite a while because the reason we use it, to travel to dog trials of various sorts, is on hold. Buddy, the best friend I've ever had in my life, is two weeks short of his 11th birthday, and has been diagnosed with cancer in his liver.
Chemo is not an option. It may be resectable, and we are in the process of setting up a CT scan to confirm that. But the most likely outcome is that my days with my buddy, Buddy are numbered. I've lost a lot of great dogs over the years. None come even close to the heartache of this one.

  • So sorry for your loss. He was such a great dog. We all love them so much that it hurts so bad when they leave us. All we can do is provide a good life and a pain free existence. RIP Buddy.

  • Well, friends, our plea was short-lived. Shortly after midnight Buddy woke us up in distress. It was clear it was time. That'll do, Buddy, that'll do. RIP, the best dog ever.
  • our 2 camping corgis Divot and Bubba along with the 2 of us send our prayers for buddy.
  • He's lucky to be part of your family.

If he had a bit longer legs those jumps would have been easier :B

    Best wishes.
  • So sorry to hear. If you're like me--you just hope to wake up tomorrow morning and find out this has all been a horrible dream. Hoping it IS resectable. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  • So sorry as diagnosis does not sound good. Great dogs are rare. Be thankful for the time you had. I know how you feel as I have been through this.
  • So sad! He looks like an awesome guy that's been living an awesome life with you. We lost our Sally to cancer last year, so I can relate. Their love is like no other.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Buddy
