I don't always think a person's personal life should be cause to ruin his job, but I think this is relatable. If he is willing to hurt a living creature that belongs to a FRIEND, what is he willing to let be done to the food that gets served to his customers (aka strangers). He apparently does not have any problem hurting innocents to further his whatever.
