We stay at Highmeadow every year near the 4th of July. We leave my (crazy, sensitive, hates to be alone) weim in our camper with the air running. Because it's so close, one of us stays at the park with the kids, and one goes back every 4-5 hours and walks him, feeds him etc via the shuttle. Shuttle is free and about a 15-20 minute trip start to finish (waiting for the bus, loading, unloading etc). Sometimes we have free parking passes, and in that case, we might opt to use the truck to go back and forth, but generally the shuttle is easier.
