It has nothing to do with the breed. The OP said his Weimeraner got into a fight because the pit bull hadn't been introduced to his dog properly. It's the idiot owners that were at fault.
If I was at a campground and some jerk was letting his dog run loose-I wouldn't have stuck around and waited for a problem. I would have notified the CG manager, if he didn't fix the problem. I would've called 911. In our neck of the woods-911 are the ones to call if you need the dog warden, utility companies etc.
And I would have told 911 that there was a aggressive dog running loose. Give that guy a nice big fine to teach him a lesson.
Not to mention, why did this idiot let his 4 year old daughter go off unattended to visit the neighbors???
IMO: This situation could've been a lot worse and it had nothing to do with the dog being a pit bull, The same problems could have easily happened with any breed.
