The most miserable trip I ever had when we were park next to an RV with a Chow. To tell you the truth I would rather have gone home. The people were so nice, but we were warn be very careful with your dogs getting loose. The whole week I was driving my husband nuts like where are the dogs, you know how all of sudden they disappear in the motorhome like in the bedroom or behind the dashboard. The people said their dog is getting old and has attacked other dogs in the pass. They said the next dog they get will not be a guard dog.
While Chows can be very protective, if you didn't plan on letting your dogs loose-I don't see the problem. Are you saying that you wouldn't have had a problem leaving your dogs loose, if they didn't have a Chow?
My dogs are never, ever loose. Stuff happen like a dog or cat bolts out of the RV. Dog slips out of their collar or harness. Leash slips out of your hand..... Human error, actually I don't know anyone that is perfect.
