We're heading back home in the morning - going to try to cross into Michigan right behind the polar vortex. Not sure how sleeping in temps of zero will go; I've literally taped the windows shut and then put Reflectix over them.

Be still my heart....that looks like heaven on earth to me....

  • Beautiful pictures, but I still prefer my sun:) Although I would love to see that much snow once in my life.
  • Not as bad here but these 3 - 4 inch snowfalls every other day are getting old. Plus the below zero highs in the day times. Northern Illinois in January - develops character all right. Stay warm and don't lose the wees in that snow.

  • BBRRR Stop that!! Its going to be mid 70's and sunny again,,,,,,,Don't make me put a long sleeve shirt on!!!
  • Thanks bro, I just showed the wife so as not to hear any of that "we'll see" talk when it comes to leaving again next fall. :)

After staying in Texas this year I think she's convinced.

We have a ton of snow, too. My mastiff, Sunny loves it. She looks like a Polar bear when she comes in. Izzy and Zara look a little out of their comfort zone!

Our Newfoundland was like that...she loved the snow...she would be just a big mound out in the yard...we had to really make her come into the house ....and she loved the summers here with the water...she could swim whenever she wanted...

And we're in drought mode here! Send some of it down to the lower states in the West if you can.

    Wish we could !
