Funny, well maybe not. Our 9 year old terrier decided last Oct that she was not going to eat her food if the dish was placed on the floor. So we bought her an elevated dish from WeatherTech no less. Nope, that didn't work, but she will drink water from it, which is what we are using it for now because no way am I going to give it away! So . . . princess has her food dish held for her every morning and every night. Interesting is that she will eat people food scraps from a plate placed on the floor and lick her dish once she's eaten everything and it's placed on the floor. We even tried putting her food on a people plate, but nope, she just gives us "that" look! Yes, she's had a complete workup, but is scheduled to go in for her teeth cleaning and one tooth in the front to be pulled. Maybe that will change everything. I don't know. If we didn't have another food motivated terrier in the house, which we do, I would be inclined to let her take her time to decide to get hungry enough to eat it (well, to some degree).
