Last night, Spotacus saved our bare feet from having to visit a doctor. He alerted on something under WLToo's chair, then jumped back when it came at him. It was a giant red-headed centipede, about 5" long. It ran behind the TV cabinet, so we got out the vacuum cleaner and sucked it into the dust catcher. Then WLToo put the whole thing outside for the night. If the centipede manages to escape, it will simply head back into the wild to eat more scorpions. If it doesn't escape, it dies. Either way is fine with us. They are NOT allowed in the house, no matter how many scorpions they kill.
Spotacus got treats as a reward. Today we spray around the house openings to stop further incursions.
I've posted this before, but here's the nasty bugger

The ones here are black with orange legs and red heads.
