A cousin is descending upon us with a 40' FW toy hauler on Friday. They'll be here for two weeks, visiting son's family in south Austin and Mom in San Antonio. When they couldn't get a slot in any of their normal campgrounds, they called and asked where some good RV parks were here at the lake. I said our RV hookups were not only available, but roomy and free.

We'll move the Rockwood into the meadow, so they can hook up to the other 50 amp. Tall and Short Friends' FW is in the other 50 amp spot. Good thing L'Andante is still at the repair facility, or she'd be moved to the meadow as well, so Cousin can more easily maneuver into the 50 amp spot. They're bringing their 5-year-old granddaughter and a dog or two, so it's going to be right lively around here. Luckily for the dogs, Spotacus isn't much bothered by them, so they're safe...

Good thing Nephew's job got him a 20 lb turkey. We'll be smoking it for Thanksgiving. WLToo has a brine recipe that involves a whole bunch of spices and maple syrup, then he'll smoke it for a while and finish it off in the Big Easy infrared fryer. My mouth is watering already.

The big challenge for this dinner is Sister and Cousin's food allergies. I'm still making the onion pie, but they won't eat it. The other stuff is more complicated, but as long as I can check their FOD map (I have no idea what that means) for allowable ingredients, it will be fine. I think. Just means we get creative again.

Need to get scrambling. WLToo is making noise in the garage and I haven't checked on him in a couple hours... Later, y'all.
