Had a hot couple of days, helping Nephew 1 load a POD. He's off to Fort Rucker for Warrant Officer Course, followed by pilot training. It's his first time doing a household move, and he had no idea what to do. Naturally, he listened to his buddies, who knew even less, and the result was his veterans aunt and uncle had to bail him out. He only got a 7' POD, so it got the high priority stuff, as opposed to what all his mama wanted gone from her house. He'll be in barracks for WOC, then has quarters for pilot training. We told him to get another POD in mid-Sep, and we'll load it with the furniture and other stuff he didn't take this time, and it will go directly from here to his quarters.
It's so hot that we haven't seen much in the way of wildlife. Everyone's in the shade. Spotacus hasn't budged from our bed since we got home. I wonder if he'll go outside tonight at all.
Time to haul the garbage can to the street. Later, y'all.
