He's pooping on his own, so his increased water intake is helping. Night before last, he struggled to get onto the bed. WLToo put a footstool at the site Spotacus normally jumps up. He slept with us last night. He's now asking me to lift him up to the bathroom sink to get a drink, but still drinks from his fountain. I do believe he's feeling a little better now that the bladder infection is dealt with.
This morning, I helped him into WLToo's recliner and he's dozing there. He doesn't seem to be in actual pain, just limited mobility. But I'm still not happy that he has to wait until next week for the oncologist to see him. At least the oncologist said don't feed him (water's ok) before the visit, so they can take action right away if they can.
Yesterday was the first fully sunny day in over a month. We spent most of it on the porch. Invited Spotacus out, but he preferred to stay in bed. Today's looking good, too, so I'll be able to see/hear him through the screen door, should he decide to come out and lay on the porch sofa.
Our across the fence (vacation home) neighbors' kids or grandkids showed up with an old race car, making as much noise as possible. We live at the lake because it's so quiet. Did not appreciate that kind of noise. Thankfully, they do not stay very long.
WLToo built a trellis in the vegetable garden for the vine veggies to climb. We'll be able to walk underneath and harvest by just reaching up. He'll also be able to cover it with plastic so the garden can continue to produce during our chillier months. We're still getting an handle on winter gardening, but I'm looking forward to fresh produce in December and January. Then we plant the spring garden in late February/early March.
No word from the dealer on when the parts will arrive for all of Obi-Wander's warranty work. But as soon as she comes home, we're off to see the Marfa lights.
Tall and Short Friend said the leaves were gorgeous in Maine this year, but they're ready to come home. I know Tall Friend plans to be back here before his birthday in mid-November; not sure about Short Friend. Looking forward to them being back.
Breakfast time. Later, y'all.
