It took until this afternoon before I was able to sucker Rudy into getting his Advantage Multi. While petting the boys alternately, I snuck one hand behind Rudy's head and just squeezed. The liquid "blorped" right onto his head, an instant before he leapt up and vanished. So he's treated, but we have to change the sheets before bedtime.
Czarny got upset because his brother was upset, but they stopped avoiding me long enough to take some treats. Then they went back to avoiding me. This evening, they are both beginning to brush against my leg in passing, making small talk, and in general thinking about hanging out with me again. However, I'm back to not being the purveyor of treats, so they'll just have to convince WLToo to treat them.
Earlier today, Czarny scared us. He was chewing on the material from a wand toy. When I pulled it away, he had swallowed nearly 6 inches of material, which I was able to extract safely. Oh, great. So we cannot leave any wand toy where he can get at it unsupervised. He's now tried to eat material, string, plastic, a shoe lace, and who knows what else. We've kept the place fairly safe for him, but I foresee abdominal surgery in his future. Good thing they're young and healthy, so the medical insurance won't cost too terribly much. Sheesh. I thought he was a kitten, not a puppy...
Leoghaire and 2018 fawn were just on the other side of the fence when I went out the door today. Glad they're here, but where are the other does? We may call the state game warden who lives near us, to see what he knows about our herd.
I think it's time for some ice cream. Later, y'all.
