Rudy's stench was not noticeable to the party goers, since he refused to be in the room with them. By now, he's only faintly whiffy.
Tall and Short Friend are having us and our family at their house for Christmas. For the first time in years, we haven't had to rush around and do stuff before Christmas. It's been great.
Finished the pumpkin mousse and will whip the cream when it's room temperature. Otherwise, we just take a few other items over tomorrow. Gonna be a quiet night here, and I'm looking forward to watching my favorite Christmas movies.
Czarny and Rudy will spend tomorrow inside -- no one's going outside, since I can't depend on them to come in by the time we have to leave. They'll be in bed, under the covers, by then, so I expect them to have a quiet day.
Nephew One arrived from Fort Rucker, with two dogs in tow, on Sunday, about the time Sister took her boyfriend to the emergency room. They're still trying to figure out what's wrong for certain, but he's feeling better enough that he might go home Christmas Day. Good thing his kids are home, since his 97-year-old dad, who lives with boyfriend, needs a little help now and then.
The doe herd is hanging around the house -- been here the last three days. They seem spooked about something and feel safer lying beside the house. Rudy sits at the door and chitters at them, but if we open the door, he runs under the bed. Czarny doesn't pay attention to them -- as long as they are on one side of the glass and he's on the other, all is fine in his kitty world.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.
