Another gorgeous spring day. The swimming pool is open, clear and ready for me to jump in, as soon as it reached 80 degrees. 78 would be fine, if the wind isn't blowing, but it was howling yesterday and is fairly brisk today.
Met our neighbor to the south the other day. He was burning limbs and doing a general cleanup around the place. Lives near Houston, has been homeschooling the daughter and loves it. They're not quite ready to move out here, but the peace and quiet, the huge homeschool support, and a general tiring of the Houston area just may see them out here sooner than later. He widened the drive, in preparation for building an RV shelter for his 45' Prevost, so we just might see them out here more often. He grew up around Kerrville, so he doesn't really have much in the way of big city attitude.
So we have Houston area homeowners on either side of us, who are planning on giving up the big city life. The folks to the north are already transiting their business out here, and will eventually tear down and build their retirement home on one of the two properties to our immediate north. Hopefully, they won't build a McMansion and interfere with our view...
We still can't get in touch with Mom's Independent Living folks, to find out how we can get access to her apartment and move her out. With the governor beginning to open businesses back up, we might be able to get in there soon. Good. Makes no sense for her to be paying for room and board when she's not getting any of said board. Can't move her in with Sister until we can at least get Mom's bed...
It's so sunny and nice outside, I have to be out there. Later, y'all.
