Another storm front has just begun to arrive, and it's raining again. Lots of distant thunder, a little lightning, and the forecast is for occasional heavy rain, possible hail, strong winds, etc. So we brought Mom over from the Fifth Wheel for tonight and ever how long the weather is iffy tomorrow.
We have a rhythm for giving Rudy his medication, and he's actually pretty good about it, now that he knows something special immediately follows. Yesterday, Czarny almost got into trouble. He could smell the prescription food and was desperate to have it, so he nearly jumped up on the kitchen counter. I gave him some prescription food, too, and he inhaled it, then ate what was left of Rudy's. Same thing last night and both times today. He wanted that food!
Rudy and Czarny have never eaten wet cat food. Rudy's kind of ok with the prescription food. Czarny thinks it's the best thing he's ever eaten. I might consider the occasional wet food as a treat in future, if I can find some without a lot of grain in it. They've never eaten cat food containing grains in their entire lives, so I'm not at all surprised they would like this prescription stuff with all the grains in it. The question is will they have an allergy to the grains? We shall see.
Leoghaire and her two does were at the south porch at suppertime. WLToo thinks she's carrying twins.
There was a loud bang yesterday. A beautiful irridescent gray bird with white underside and yellow beak, about blue jay size, hit the window. I went out to see if it was stunned, but its neck was broken. Such a lovely bird. Sigh. I haven't identified it in my bird book yet.
More lightning. Got to shut down the electronics and put them in my homemade Faraday cage. Later, y'all.
