It rained again, but not in flash flood quantities. Our gauge now reads 11.44" for the last 72 hours. At least the forecast is for no more rain for at least 8 days. Today is spectacularly beautiful. Lots of boats out on the late, all keeping their distance, yet it's still so very quiet.
We ran out of prescription gooshy food last night. This morning, Czarny contemplated jumping up on the kitchen island, until I distracted him. He's way too gung ho for gooshy food. The vet recommended they both stay on dry food, anyway, so I won't be looking for any commercial canned foods. Might go to moist treats, though. They both can be trained with cat-appropriate food rather easily.
Leoghaire and the other does came up this morning. She's still about a week or so away from having the fawn(s), I believe. I just hope she has it/them in our meadow. We'll start closing the gate to keep the two-legged hunters (poachers) away -- heard some shots this week and all the deer are spooked.
Short Friend decided we need to restart our weekly gathering, now that all us old farts have been quarantined long enough that we won't give each other anything except annoyance... Pizza and a movie tomorrow at their place.
Laundry is singing. Time to load the dryer. Later, y'all.
