We're not actually having to do anything to keep Czarny close. It's all his idea, thankfully.
Now that he's not competing for lap time, he's spending a good part of each evening on my lap. Since I sent my trusty old recliner out for reupholstering on Thursday, we are sharing the recliner we had removed from our Itasca Sunrise years ago. It normally hangs out in the office, but for the next couple of weeks, it's my and Czarny's chair. Doesn't have the wide leather arms, so Czarny fits himself down into the seat between me and the arm. He seems comfortable there, although he's sure making my left side hot...
Leoghaire's 2018 fawn came up this morning and promptly chowed down on a romaine lettuce from our garden. WLToo let them grow way past harvest date, and they are bitter. So the deer will get the lettuce.
We are already picking Blue Lake green beans off some very small bushes. Quite tasty, but not yet profuse enough for more than a snack. The carrots are very happy, as are the onions, so WLToo is rather happy with this year's garden thus far.
The tourons are here for the weekend. I had to go out to get Mom's prescription, and they were all over the place like locusts. Makes me very glad to not live lakeside, where they are congregating in massive piles. We'll stay poolside this weekend.
In fact, that's a great idea. Out to the pool. Later, y'all.
