Short Friend came over for Sunday lunch and WLToo's early birthday cake. Said Tall Friend's UTI medication isn't working too well, so he needed to stay home.
We chowed down on stuffed tomatoes, peaches and cottage cheese in raspberry Jello salad, green bean salad in balsamic vinegarette, and loaded mashed cauliflower before diving into the birthday cake: Keto Texas Sheet Cake with ice cream and whipped cream. Sounds heavy, right? It was not. Four hours later and I'm feeling a bit hungry.
Randolph was more than happy to have SF rub him over thoroughly. Then Czarny demanded she escort him outside, where he re-inspected her vehicle, then headed to the RV.
The hummingbirds, meanwhile, announced loudly that the feeder I filled up yesterday was empty already and why wasn't it filled right now?!
The barn swallow babies are big enough to see all three of them. Still probably three weeks or more from flying. As WToo said, they don't have their game faces on yet.
Leoghaire came up yesterday by herself. I fed her the last of the carrots. She looks okay, but I think we do need to water something so she'll have fresh greens to eat. All these clouds and just barely a drop of rain. You'd think it was summertime around here or something.
Well, there's some Jello calling me. Later, y'all.
