Randolph slowly crept up the side of Czarny's tower, reached up, and diddled Czarny's butt. He screamed bloody murder and the chase was on. I'm not sure if Randolph is trying to play or intimidate, but Czarny is not having it.
Early this morning, Czarny noticed Randolph sleeping (or staring) less than a foot away. He snarled, struck out, and managed to claw me rather thoroughly. Today, Czarny's outside, under the RV, where neither the birds nor Randolph can bother him. Poor guy.
So we scheduled Randolph for neutering next Wednesday morning, in hopes that he'll calm down and stop bugging Czarny.
Meanwhile, a movement in the corner of my eye this morning revealed a large gray squirrel trying to get a drink out of the swimming pool. First squirrel we've had that appears to be taking up residence on our property. WLToo is not happy, since that means it will get into the garden. This will be interesting to watch: squirrel vs human.
Barn swallows have taken up residence on the south porch, too. It gets awfully hot in that nest, which is why it's not been used the last few years. Hope the hatchlings survive the summer heat.
Leoghaire came by yesterday. Had a big grass belly, looked like she was still pregnant. I do miss the does' movements around the property...
It's pretty hot, so I'll go get Czarny. Later, y'all.
