Randolph came through the surgery just fine. He's being rather subdued right now, as his backside is a mite sore. I made a napping spot on the floor in front of one of the sliding glass doors, but he's insisting on laying on the door mat in front of the south door.
He does have a chip, and the vet gave us the number. I'll do a little research to see if it's been registered. If not, fine. If so, we'll think about contacting the previous folks. Wasn't incline to at first, but since Randolph didn't seem bothered by the harness, maybe he was an indoor kitty who only went out on harness, and slipped out one day. OTOH, no apparent shots, not neutered, was sick -- not good. Thinking, thinking....
Czarny had another lovely day outside. Now that he's not being swooped, he's bouncing up and down from the deck to the garden and back, dashing about crazily, and in general really enjoying himself. Not so much fun coming back inside, though. We closed the laundry room door to keep him from hiding behind the dryer. That's also where the Litter Robot is, but Randolph's box is in the spare room and Czarny has no problem using it. We'll open it at night after Randolph is closed in that bedroom, then close it in the morning again. It's past time Czarny learned to deal with the new cat.
Well, it's dinnertime. Later, y'all.
