Well, the pool pump fix is almost working. It's seeping. But we can turn the pump on for a while each day to continue cleaning the spring leaf droppings, etc. out of the pool and spa. Meanwhile, SU's solar pool heater setup is strong enough to roil the water, so that keeps things moving around. He's looking at yet another sealant, so maybe this will work for the time we need it to work.
The barn swallows are chattering away nicely. You know it's spring when the gossip fest is in full swing. Cardinals like to sit on the deck railing, we haven't actually seen any hummingbirds yet, but we know they're in the area, so the feeders are going up.
Bluebonnets looked lovely along the back roads I take to/from Sister's and Mom's place, but they are not near as profuse as the years when we got winter rains. Still lovely to look at.
Our trees survived the cold snap nicely. Not sure about the rosemary bushes yet; just how much we'll have to cut back remains to be seen, but we're not touching them until the brown parts actually are proven to be dead. So far, the twigs are still pliable; only the leaves are truly dead, which doesn't mean anything yet, because it's spring, when the new leaves come out. We'll keep waiting.
Garden's looking good. SU planted too many at once again, so if they all thrive, there will be a seriously frantic harvest and canning session in a few weeks. Sigh. He just can't get the rhythm of sequential plantings for extended harvests. I blame it on his Parkinson's and short term memory -- they are both very handy when needing an excuse.....
It's humid as all get out, but I think I'll go sit outside and enjoy the not yet summer temps. Later, y'all.
