Instead of going walkies, Czarny takes me for a "stand." We step outside, he stands or sits right next to my leg, and we chitchat until the barn swallows spot him. Then he's ready to go back inside.
We have at least another month of this, before they migrate and it's safe for him to wander about without having to duck. Besides, with the temps staying at 100 and above until at least 25 Jul, when it drops to "only" 99, it's way too hot for his little kitty feet on all that asphalt and rock.
Since it's way too hot to do much outside, I'm editing Spousal Unit's late brother's western novelette. We hope to publish it in the next few days, with all the proceeds going to sister-in-law. Good book; just wish BIL had let me edit and help him publish before he passed.
Speaking of, break's over, back to editing. Later, y'all.
