Czarny started off the New Year by shrieking in outrage at something outside, most likely one of the neighbor cats passing through our property. By the time we got outside, Czarny was under the porch glider, muttering imprecations, and there was no sign of whatever infuriated him. He walked me around the house, then finally came inside, where he's napping on his tower.
Lots of fireworks last night, but no fires around us, fortunately, so I went to bed about 0200, after the noise finally died down. Today we're just lounging around, watching the deer wander past.
