I've told this before, but maybe have a new audience. We adopted a rescue Cattle Dog. His name had been Jake, but the neighbor's dog was named Jake, so we changed it to Jack. I also have always used the command "off" meaning to get off something, rather than "down" which is an obedience command to lie down. So sure enough, a male friend from church shows up while we're out in the yard, and Jack, my social butterfly, runs up, jumps on our friend, and I yell "Jack, OFF!" I'm glad it was a friend and we could giggle about it later, but I was mortified.....
