I agree. If they just did the fireworks on the 4th, then I'd be fine.
But, our state fair does them everyday for 2 weeks (and Bat-dog can hear the booms).
Then, the fireworks stands start selling 7 days before the holiday - so starting June 27th every year, we get nightly local displays.
And that wouldn't be so bad, but the locals prefer the shrieks and booms and loud noises over the actual displays.
Then they shoot off the fireworks for at least a week afterwards.
Then they shoot them off for every holiday for the rest of the year.
And there's no rhyme or reason to the times they shoot them off. They might shoot them for 1/2 hour and then at 2:30 a.m., they shoot another one. Or they shoot one every couple hours. Always just long enough for the dog to start relaxing and then BOOM!
It's annoying when it's non-stop. And these folks have no idea of the "meaning" of fireworks on the 4th - they just want to play with fire.
