I question whether it's legal for anyone other than a professional to have some of these big mortars? But nevertheless, here in Michigan, it's only legal to shoot fireworks for the day before, the day of, and the day after the 4th of July. I wish like heck the State would make these fireworks tents fold up the day after the 4th: as long as they stay put, we have fireworks exploding every night.
Re the Thundershirt: I bought one for Ben, but he's a deep-chested, short-coupled dog. To get the size to go around his girth, it's also long enough to rub on his, um... "boy parts" - and while that might distract him from listening to fireworks, it also doesn't seem very nice to do to my dog ;-)
