Max, RIP

April 1,2010 April 9,2016
May you always have a ball to chase.
Miss you
Dad
  • So sorry for your loss. That's is a short life span for a lab, but we lost two Gordon setters at young ages. Don't try to make any decisions about another dog right now-let yourself grieve.
  • I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand not wanting another dog for now. Maybe your feelings will change once the pain of loss subsides.
  • So sorry of the loss of your sweet Max. Keep the wonderful memories of him close to your heart and he will always be with you. He sounded like the perfect pup. You gave him the best life and he knew it.

The last two males I lost were 7 and 8 yrs. old. Usually they are 10-12 yrs. (large dogs). I guess it's just "the luck of the draw". We never have them long enough, no matter how old.

    You have my deepest sympathy.
  • Max was a rescue 5-1/2 years ago. We got him at approx 4 months old. He loved to go with us where ever we went. He was always content to sit and wait no matter what. Funny, two weeks ago we had to be in town for a Drs appointment, so decided to drive thru the RV park we spent winter 2013/14. He got so excited, and was whining. We then drove over to the park where I exercised him a couple times a day. Again, he went crazy. As a final stop we drove past the house we sold in 2013. Yup! You guessed it. He went nuts. And they say dogs don't remember. He loved to camp host with us. Riding in the gator was a favorite. That and swimming were always the high light of his day.
    He will be missed.
Our last Lab we lost at 8 due to a heart tumor. Now Max at 6 with kidney failure. I wonder? I'm afraid this is our last dog.
  • Sorry for your loss, Don. I know there are plenty of balls at the Rainbow Bridge, all of mine there are willing to share.
  • Oh, sorry! We miss these little buddies so much when they're gone. When you're up to it, please come back and tell us about Max.
  • So sad to lose a fur kid. It's so heartbreaking...sending happy thoughts your way.
