Yes, I'll take Nell being disobedient over needing to be retired due to Addison’s. I can work on obedience. I guess in the end it is really my fault she didn't listen to me; after all I'm the trainer.
Nell's obedience lessons started yesterday. She was getting zero slack when I asked her to lie down or when told to stay while we were inspecting the flock for lame sheep and ones that need deworming. A few corrections for slow response even when close to me yielded much better compliance from her. This was VERY important while I was kneeling down restraining a sheep with the rest of the flock right next to me; the last thing I needed was for Nell to get up and push the flock over me.
