Oh, yes! He is a mommy's puppy. Not that I baby him. I actually don't. My DH lets him sleep on the bed and walk all over the yard doing his business. I require him to sleep in his crate at night and go potty on command. Then he has to wait for me to go through the door first and sit for a treat. He walks all over DH! But while I was in the hospital, DH said Tiki kept running to the door or the fence to see if I was standing out there. Tiki just about hurt himself when I came home this morning, twirling in circles. He's not letting me get too far away.
You then in his eye are the leader of the pack, since you are the one who sets the rules. Who picks up the yard? Bet it is you.
I have 3 dogs and they all sleep with us. My wife is the one that insisted they sleep on the bed. Some nights I am trying to find the covers..... But I am the leader next to Paco my smallest dog. What we do for "family".
