My silly Bichon

I've been hospitalized for the past 4 days and just got home today. Needless to say, Tiki-bird is OVER THE MOON! He can't get close enough to me~ In fact, now he keeps trying to sit ON me. Right on my chest and stomach, which are already smarting from some mild surgery. I thought maybe he wanted to reach something on the other side of me. Nope. Just wants to sit on my stomach. :S That's a big fat no-go...

He misses you. Isn't true love wonderful?

Oh, yes! He is a mommy's puppy. Not that I baby him. I actually don't. My DH lets him sleep on the bed and walk all over the yard doing his business. I require him to sleep in his crate at night and go potty on command. Then he has to wait for me to go through the door first and sit for a treat. He walks all over DH! But while I was in the hospital, DH said Tiki kept running to the door or the fence to see if I was standing out there. Tiki just about hurt himself when I came home this morning, twirling in circles. He's not letting me get too far away.

Must be a bichon thing. My DW bichon likes to get on our stomachs and stand there, and she's no light weight (the bichon, not DW)

LOL. This is our first Bichon and we're learning a LOT about them. He's not too big, about 13-lbs, but when he's standing on my stitches he weighs about 212.

I decided to take a bath and wash my hair. Maybe he is bothered by the hospital smell. I've taken all my clothes that I wore and put them in the washer, too. Hoping I didn't bring home any hospital germs.
