Our ole hound started having problems getting into truck a couple yrs. back so we looked at commercial ramps..........all were too wide for rear door sill on truck.
So I made one
1---1X3X8 cut in half for side rails
1---1X2X6 cut into 12" pieces for cross rails
2 pieces of 1/4" paneling cut into 12" x 48" (doubled up for strength)
Then after I assembled it I covered the paneling with carpet.
Even use it for getting into 5 vr......just set it on top step and up she goes.
Short enough to carry in back floor board of truck. Light weight and strong.
