I usually spend the 4th at the seasonal site. When Bud was alive he was terrified of fireworks. Had some neighbors that had kids. When I told them about Bud they didn't set off a single firework near the camper. Good kids that cared about others, parents instilled good values.
I have found out if I explain why instead of just telling them not to do something I usually get a positive response.
