I'm hoping that this little guy will make a great camping buddy!Sonny the Mini-DachshundHe's coming home to us on Friday evening. :)He's about 8 months old.I'll be looking into exercise pens - I'm guessing that would work the best for him while camping.I'm thinking this little guy will be a little easier to take along than my 70lb moose of a Springer, who we loss a couple years ago, was. (sure miss him though :( )

(sure miss him though )I went from RV'ing with Great Danes to a toy breed. Yes I miss my guys too but what a difference RV'ing with a small dog is, ahhh.I use ex-pens with a top on them tucked under my awning. The dogs are out of the sun and secure from other dogs and they enjoy it big time.

Congrats on your new camping buddy! What a cutie! We have used a portable fence for camping in the past. Highly recommend it for smaller dogs.

Glad you have a new buddy. I picked one up (JRT) about a month ago. Getting ready to hit the road in about a month. Enjoy your camping bud. Here is Blue chillin at panda express.

What a cutie, i'm sure he will adapt to camping in very short order and make you an awesome camping companion.

I've been doing a lot of research on the Doxies - amazing how many have two or more. Seems like they really like having buddies.
Originally I thought Sonny and his sister were going to be coming to us, but in the end my nephew ended up taking the sister with him (he already had Sonny's brother).

We're already planning on looking for either another Mini-Doxie or a Mini-Aussie once Sonny gets settled in. :)

I've been working on the 5er for the past couple of days, and it's got them antsy as all get out. I can't even go outside without them, because they KNOW another trip is coming soon.

70lb moose of a Springer

Yup, that sure is a moose! Jake's 62 lbs and he's pretty big for a Springer.

Sonny sure is a cutie!
