We took our pup on its first RV weekend when it was about three months old and it did just fine.
I recommend training it to sleep in a crate, at least at first. Expect whining in the beginning. If you let the pup train you to let it always sleep in bed with you, what do you do after it has been outside in the rain?
Keep some dog toys in the RV; one less thing to remember to load before a trip.
