We travel with 2 collies. In fact, the dogs are the main reason we got the RV!
Like others have said: always keep the dog(s) leashed,
obey the CG rules. Their house, their rules,
clean up after your dog,
try to keep him from crying/barking.
Keep a collar with name tag and rabies tag on your dog at all times when out of the rig
It's best if your dog is chipped.
If your dog is on a special diet make sure you have enough food for your trip. This sounds stupid, but it's easy to just throw in the bag or box and then run short.
An unbreakable dog bowl is a must.
We have 2 20-foot runners that we attach to the handle on the outside of the RV by a smaller runner and a carbiner. We attach their leashes to the runners. The longer runners have loops tied in them about every 5 feet. That way we can have the dogs secured outside when we're sitting outside and we can adjust the length of their tie-out to accommodate our space by clipping the carabiner to whichever loop works best. The dogs have gotten used to this system and enjoy being able to sit outside with us while still having a little room to walk around and people watch.
